Man shoots woman at West New York nail salon, then kills himself outside

An unhinged dad entered a West New York nail salon Wednesday and shot his child’s mother to death before running to a nearby parking lot and killing himself, police said. The unidentified man stormed Solo Nails at 50th St. and Bergenline Ave. around 5 p.m. and pistol-whipped the New Jersey salon’s owner, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office told The Jersey Journal. The man then shot the unidentified woman in the face and fled, heading down Bergenline to a parking lot between 51st and 52nd Sts., where he took his own life, cops say.
