YOKOHAMA —
Police said Wednesday that they have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his younger brother to death at their home in Yokohama.
According to police, the two men, identified as Akio Kurihara, 66, his wife, and his brother Shiro, 63 had lived together for many years. Fuji TV reported that emergency services received a call at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday from Akio in which he said he had stabbed his brother.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Shiro with stab wounds to his stomach and other parts of his body. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said Akio had admitted to stabbing his brother and quoted him as saying, “Shiro had caused me a great deal of trouble in my life.”
