A New York college student fatally injured during a fraternity hazing ritual had been forced to carry weighted bags while being repeatedly knocked to the floor, it emerged today.
Police in Pennsylvania are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Chen 'Michael' Deng, 19, after he was brought by friends to a hospital Sunday morning.
He died on Monday after suffering 'major brain trauma', the DA's office said.
The Monroe County District Attorney's office said in a statement yesterday that the 19-year-old was injured at a Tunkhannock Township residence, where about 30 members of the Pi Delta Psi fraternity had travelled for the weekend.
