A Siberian morgue worker who first got a taste for human flesh on the job went on to kill his lover and eat parts of her corpse.
The cannibal stabbed his common-law wife twice in the neck after arguing during a forest walk near Aksarka in April 2011.
He dumped her body in the woods and would regularly return to devour her remains, reports Focus News Agency.
The man was found guilty of murder Monday.
He confessed he used to work in a morgue and became fascinated with eating human parts during that time.
The court in Russia's northern Yamalo-Nenets region sentenced him to nine years in a penal colony, the agency reported.
