A Chinese mom hacked off her own son's fingers after arguing with her husband, police said.
The Shanghai woman, who has not been identified, allegedly chopped off three of her 8-year-old boy's digits following the bitter row.
The couple started discussing "family issues" on Wednesday, according to Shanghai Daily.
But the wife then "got fired up" and freaked out.
She is accused of dragging the youngster to one side. She then allegedly sliced off the fingers from his left hand with a kitchen knife.
Rushed to hospital, it's unclear whether doctors were able to re-attach the digits to his hand.
