A Pennsylvania man killed his mothreby flooding their apartment with toxic carbon monoxide from a portable gas generator, authorities said.
Koustantinos Yiambilis, 30, cranked up the generator inside his small Bensalem apartment Monday night, killing his 59-year-old mother, Karen, and landing himself in the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning, local police said.
He was arraigned at his bedside at a Bucks County hospital Tuesday and charged with homicide, risking catastrophe and recklessly endangering another person and other charges.
As soon as he is well enough, he will be transported to Bucks County Prison, where he'll be held without bail, authorities said.
