SAITAMA —
Police are investigating the murder of an elderly couple whose bodies were found concealed under a pile of cardboard boxes and blankets in their apartment in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture.
According to police, Masaaki Ozawa, 73, and his wife Chieko, 77, were stabbed to death last Sunday afternoon. TBS reported that the couple’s eldest daughter, who had been unable to contact her parents, went to the apartment with police and found them lying on the kitchen floor, covered by boxes and blankets. Next to their bodies was the knife used in the killings.
