Student, 18, stabbed to death in broad daylight 'street execution' while walking home

A gap year student renowned for his politeness was stabbed to death in a 'street execution' as he walked home in broad daylight. Cricket lover Kieran Crump-Raiswell, 18, was knifed in the torso after his killer ran up to him armed with a blade. Paramedics dashed to the scene following a 999 call but Kieran died in hospital from his wounds despite attempts to revive him. Today murder squad detectives were baffled as to a motive for Kieran's murder in a busy road in the Whalley Range area in South Manchester. Local reports have described the killing as an 'execution' but it is understood officers investigating the stabbing do not believe it was gang related.
