KUNMING - Eight miners have been confirmed dead in a colliery blast on Friday in Southwest China's Yunnan province, local government said.
The accident happened around 2 pm at the Liangshuigou Coal Mine in Muzhuo Township of Zhenxiong county, according to the county's publicity bureau.
An initial probe has indicated a gas blast in the mine.
