Queens man arrested after brutally hacking girlfriend to death

A deranged boyfriend was apprehended Tuesday night after he butchered his flame, beat down another woman and battled two cops while trying to make a getaway in Queens, police sources and witnesses said. The bedlam began when the 38-year-old maniac wildly hacked his girlfriend's face and torso inside a 55th St. home in Woodside just before 5:30 p.m., sources said. Covered in blood, the callous killer then started hauling bags of his stuff into an idling SUV outside the home when a woman who knew the 32-year-old victim confronted him, horrified neighbors said. "She was screaming, 'You killed my friend. You're going back to jail,' " said a 73-year-old woman who called 911. She added that the troubled couple had just moved to the quiet block three days before.
