Catholic Priest admits to abusing 15-year-old

A Catholic priest has admitted to abusing a 15-year-old girl in Bergen in the latest sex scandal to hit the church in Norway.

Bishop Bernt Eidsvig told VG newspaper that the priest, who is not Norwegian, was "distraught" over what had happened during "a short period" this summer. "He admits to having had a sexual relationship with the girl. It lasted a little over a week," he said. NARA — Police said Wednesday they have arrested a man over the murder of his sister and the attempted murder of his mother at their home in Nara a day after being released from prison. According to police, 35-year-old Toshito Hatanaka was arrested three years ago for slashing a police officer with a knife. Fuji TV reported that he was released on Aug 25 and visited his mother’s house on Aug 26 at around 3:30 p.m. Shortly thereafter, Hatanaka contacted police to report that he had slashed his mother and sister with a kitchen knife. Police arrived at the scene to find Hatanaka’s 40-year-old sister Miki Hatanaka had sustained stab wounds to her back and abdomen and his 60-year-old mother had also been stabbed in the abdomen. Police say Hatanaka’s sister died of her injuries in hospital and that his mother remains in critical condition. During police questioning, Hatanaka was quoted by police as saying, “I got angry when my mother said she couldn’t let me stay at her place.”

I meanif I'd have started cutting her leg or her throat and she'd have suddenly come alive" He closed Heather's eyes before he dismembered her. "If somebody's sat there looking at you, you're not going to use a knife on that person are you?" When he cut off her head, he found the sound -- a "horrible noiselike scrunching" -- very unpleasant. But, once her head was off, he started on her legs, twisting her foot until he heard "one almighty crack and the leg come loose, like." Cut into pieces, she fit nicely into the garbage bin. That night after the remainder of his family was asleep, he buried Heather's body in the garden, where she lay undiscovered for seven years.

In early 1967, Anna McFall became pregnant with Fred's child. She was trying unsuccessfully to get Fred to divorce Rena and marry her. Fred responded to the stress of her demands by killing her and burying her near the trailer park sometime in July. Not only did he kill his mistress and their unborn child, he slowly and methodically dismembered her corpse and buried her along with the fetus. Oddly enough, he cut off her fingers and toes, which were missing from the gravesite. It would be his ritualistic signature in future crimes.

Since Fred was in jail when Charmaine was murdered, his involvement probably extended to burying her body under the kitchen floor of their home on Midland Road where it lay undiscovered for over 20 years. Before he buried Charmaine, he took off her fingers, toes and kneecaps. Fred would hold this criminal secret over Rose for the rest of her life.

70-year-old Australian man 'lodges fork in penis'

In a case considered so unusual it was written up in a medical journal by the three operating doctors, the man inserted a four-inch steel fork into his urethra in an attempt to achieve sexual gratification. But the fork became stuck and was not visible when the man presented to doctors hours later. The doctors could feel the utensil and observed it on X-rays. They then extracted the fork free using forceps and "copious lubrication" while the patient was under a general anaesthetic.

The case was written up in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports two weeks ago in a paper titled "An Unusual Urethral Foreign Body". The doctors said they wrote up the case "given the great management challenge faced by the oddity and infrequency with which a fork is encountered in the penile urethra". “It is apparent that the human mind is uninhibited let alone creative," they wrote. “Autoerotic stimulation with the aid of self-inserted urethral foreign bodies has been existent since time immemorial and have presented an unusual but known presentation to urologists."

The Canberra Times newspaper said the paper reports other strange objects which have been found inside the body, including needles, pencils, toothbrushes, light bulbs, thermometers, leeches, snakes, cocaine and glue. The paper also notes that many patients tend to be embarrassed and try to extract the objects themselves but this can cause further injuries. Other patients are embarrassed and delay seeking medical assistance but then risk infections which can lead to death.

EHIME — Police said Sunday that the body of a woman was found in a suitcase in shrubbery beside a road in Saijo, Ehime Prefecture. At least 17 people killed and 525 passengers rescued after ferry collides with cargo ship in Philippines

A ferry with nearly 700 people aboard has sunk near the central Philippine port of Cebu after colliding with a cargo vessel, killing at least 17 people. Hundreds of others were rescued. The captain of the ferry MV Thomas Aquinas ordered the ship to be abandoned after it began listing and then sank after hitting the cargo vessel, coastguard officer Joy Villegas said. The coastguard said 17 people were confirmed dead, including children, and 525 had been rescued several hours after the collision. Authorities were still checking the number of others who had been taken to hospitals.

Catherine Buckley had a huge chunk bitten out of her right forearm after she was set upon by the two dogs in Scammonden, West Yorkshire. The 33-year-old had got out of her car on a country lane to usher one of the dogs from the middle of the road believing it to have been injured.

'Mischievous' boy, 11, accidentally hanged himself trying to play a prank on his father and brother

A 'mischievous' schoolboy accidentally hanged himself while trying to play a prank on his brother and father, an inquest heard. Brad Rothwell, 11, was trying to trick his father, Bryn, and brother, Brett, when they returned from running errands but the game went tragically wrong. As they entered his bedroom at the family home in Wigan, Greater Manchester, they found him tied to his bunk bed by his school tie and unresponsive. They dialled 999 but despite efforts to revive him with CPR, and the attentions of paramedics, Brad was pronounced dead at the scene.

A husband accused of stabbing his wife 47 times has been released from jail after spending three years awaiting a trial. Valentino Ianetti, 63, was released from the Sussex County jail after the prosecutor’s office, unable to prove its case, requested that all criminal charges be dismissed. Mr Ianetti was accused of killing his wife of 37 years Pamela Ianetti, 57, at their Stanhope home in 2009. On the night his wife died according to an arrest affidavit Mr Ianetti called police dispatch to say he had found his wife with multiple wounds in the bedroom on the floor. Mr Ianetti cooperated with police and had blood on his hands, but smelled as though he had just showered or washed, the affidavit says. Investigators used a search warrant to recover a long knife covered with blood, according to the affidavit. From an autopsy, Dr. Junaid Shaikh, a former Sussex County medical examiner, determined the death to be a murder caused by multiple sharp force wounds to the thorax and neck. 'The most significant knife wounds to the victim punctured her liver in multiple locations, her lung and her heart,' Sussex County prosecutor Gregory Mueller told The Huffington Post.
