At a family gathering where nothing appeared out of the ordinary, a 25-year-old man calmly walked outside carrying his 3-month-old son, got into his car, then shot the baby in the head before turning the gun on himself, according to Arizona police.
Distraught family members say they have no idea why the young father did what he did.

Police were called about 2 a.m. Sunday by a hysterical relative who said a 3-month-old baby had been shot in the head, Chandler Police Detective Seth Tyler told KPNX TV.
In a quiet residential neighborhood, investigators found the body of the unidentified man in the front seat of a car. In his lap was the tiny body of his baby boy.
