A man plunged more than 25ft to his death while helping a friend move a fridge-freezer over a balcony instead of using the stairs.
A horrified eyewitness said he heard a ‘terrible screaming’ as the weight of the appliance hurled the man, named locally as Clive, from the balcony while he was attempting to lower it to the ground.
The neighbour, who did not want to be named, described how the victim, believed to be a retired builder in his 50s, suffered major injuries in the fall, with blood pouring from his eyes and nose.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
