Daniel Taylor twice tried to crash a party in his apartment complex, but was kicked out by the host. When he returned a final time, he came dressed in camouflage carrying the gun that allegedly shot and killed 28-year-old Jeff Ward and injured a woman. He holed himself up in the building for three hours before being detained by police.
