TOKYO — A 1-month-old baby boy was fatally stabbed in an apartment in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward on Wednesday night, police said Thursday. The infant’s mother, 37, was found lying beside the body, police said, adding she had taken an overdose of sleeping pills. According to police, the woman’s father visited the apartment at about 8 p.m., TV Asahi reported. He found his daughter and her baby lying on the floor in the bathroom. The baby had been stabbed in the chest. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
