DENVER -- A Greeley teen was sentenced to six years in prison for causing the death of his 2-year-old cousin after police said he punched the child in the chest in a scuffle over a cellphone. Jesus Cornelio pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse resulting in death in June. Under the terms of his plea deal, Cornelio was given a suspended sentence of 18 years in the Department of Corrections, which is contingent on his successful completion of six years in the Youth Offender System, said Heath Montgomery of the Weld County District Attorney's Office.
