Bear shot and killed after mauling 72-year-old woman after her dog chased cubs out of back yard

A woman, 72, was mauled by a black bear after she surprised the animal and her three cubs in the garden. Darlene Baglio was bitten on her arms, legs and body when her dog chased the cubs out of her yard in Aitkin County, Minnesota, causing the 190lb mother bear to attack. Ms Baglio was taken to hospital with puncture wounds and cuts across her body on Monday. Officials from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) later tracked the bear and shot it dead.
