Mother and her boyfriend 'put daughter, 3, in scalding water for telling lies and didn't take her to the hospital for A WEEK'

A mother and her boyfriend have been arrested after he allegedly put her three-year-old daughter in scalding water for telling lies and failed to seek medical treatment for her severe burns for a week. The little girl, who has not been named, is now in the intensive care unit at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas after suffering burns to her body from the waist down. Mandy Milstead, 23, and Brad Barker, 26, have been charged with injury to a child in connection with the incident on May 24 at their home in Freeport, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office said.
