A dust storm in Arizona is being blamed for the deaths of three people and 12 injuries after it caused a 19-car pileup on Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tuscon Tuesday.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials identified one of those killed as Gordon Lee Smith, 76, of Mead, Washington.
They said Smith's wife was injured, but her condition wasn't immediately disclosed.
DPS officials said 19 vehicles - 10 commercial vehicles, seven passenger cars, one tanker and one recreational vehicle - were involved in chain-reaction collisions south of Casa Grande shortly after noon.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
