Police in Massachusetts have arrested a 14-year-old high school student and charged him with murdering his teacher after blood found found smeared in a bathroom at the school.
The body of Colleen Ritzer, 24, was discovered Wednesday morning in the woods behind Danvers High School in Danvers, Massachusetts.
The school was placed on lock-down shortly after classes began Wednesday following the discovery of the blood in the bathroom.
The Essex District Attorney’s Office announced the shocking arrest on Wednesday morning.
Officials say there is no wider public safety threat.
