Life in prison for man who killed foster family

McCall had been convicted of killing Alan McCullough, 46; his wife Danna McCullough, 43, and their son Alan McCullough III, 19, according to prosecutors. They alleged the McCulloughs were McCall’s foster family, and he had just moved back into the home after being released from prison. On April 4, 2008, police made a well-being check after Alan McCullough failed to show up for work, and found the family dead in their home in the 6100 block of South Hermitage Avenue. All three had been shot once in the head, according to the state’s attorney’s office. The son had also been beaten in the head with a hammer. Authorities said the killing came after a disagreement about house rules. “The argument was about money and food and house rules,” Chicago Police Cmdr. Patricia Walsh said in 2008.
