Police are trying to unravel a twisted case of blackmail, rape and sodomy allegedly perpetrated by a Utah man against the ex-husband of his wife.
Michael Seach, 49, was arrested and charged Wednesday for attacking his wife’s former husband, whom he allegedly had been blackmailing and threatening with death.
The victim has not been identified.
He told police he had been threatened for the past seven to 10 months by his ex-wife’s husband, who claimed to have damaging information about him.
The victim summoned police from the lobby of the Motel 6 in Riverdale, where he staggered after escaping a room in which the accused had sexually assaulted him.
Police said the caller still had a blindfold tied around his neck when officers arrived.
