A Canadian woman died on the first day of her honeymoon in Mexico when the balcony of her resort room collapsed.
The Ottawa-area woman, Shannon Amy Guy of Carleton Place, a mother of two, died Wednesday when she was on the third-floor balcony with two other people, CTV News reported.
She was married in August to husband Paul and the couple just started their honeymoon.
Paul was taking a photograph of his new bride and two others when the balcony collapsed, CTV reported. Two others were injured.
