The couple started discussing "family issues" on Wednesday, according to Shanghai Daily. But the wife then "got fired up" and freaked out. She is accused of dragging the youngster to one side. She then allegedly sliced off the fingers from his left hand with a kitchen knife. Rushed to hospital, it's unclear whether doctors were able to re-attach the digits to his hand.

A 13-year-old boy fell 15 stories off a balcony and died Saturday morning in Panama City beach Fla. The unidentified victim, who is from Plainfield Ind., went into a room at a condominium complex after 10 a.m. when he fell off the balcony on the 15th floor and plummeted to his death, police said. "We heard a clanking, like glass or metal, and then we heard a thud," Rachel Salyer told The News Herald.

Woodridge dad kills 3-year-old daughter, himself

A man stabbed his 3-year-old daughter to death Friday in Woodridge and then took his own life, police said. Officers found Robert Bzdek, 34, dead at a home in the 2700 block of Meadowdale Lane around 4:30 p.m. Friday and his daughter Zuzanna still alive but with multiple stab wounds, according to the police. Zuzanna was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, where she died in surgery, police said.

Four passengers die and driver is seriously injured after car plunges into creek

A jury in North Carolina handed down the death penalty Thursday to Jonathan Douglas Richardson, 25, who they convicted of murdering his girlfriend's 4-year-old daughter. During the trial, it was revealed that Richardson tortured little Teghan Skiba for 10 days while his girlfriend of six months was on a trip - physically and sexually abusing the girl as well as strangling her with a power chord. Richardson brought the girl to Johnston Medical Center in July 2010, telling doctors she fell off her bed. But medics found signs of much more serious trauma, as her body was covered in bruises and bite marks.
