New Guinea elections hampered by allegations of bribery, vote rigging... and an anti-sorcery death cult that has killed and eaten seven people

Elections in the Commonwealth country of Papua New Guinea have been delayed after members of a cannibal cult began killing people they believed to be sorcerers. Five men and two women have allegedly been butchered and eaten after being accused of practising black magic in the remote jungle region around the town of Madang. The first victim had his heart and brains cut out and his killers drank his blood, according to one local activist.
