The ex-wife of a prominent New York orthopedic surgeon has been arrested after allegedly killing their four-year-old son amid a bitter custody battle between them over the boy. Manuela Morgado, 46, is thought to have asphyxiated little Jason before trying in vain to take her own life too. Neighbors found her in a ‘catatonic’ state as she cradled his lifeless body and called the authorities who alerted her ex-husband Timothy Reish.
