Man Beat Girlfriend, Shot Neighbors Before Taking His Life

RIALTO (KTLA) -- A domestic violence call turned deadly Sunday after a man accused of beating two women and shooting neighbors took his own life. Rialto Police received a call late Saturday night of a domestic dispute at a home in the 13000 N. Pampas Avenue. According to Rialto Police Capt. Randy De Anda, a man at the home had beaten his girlfriend and her mother. When the two tried to flee to a neighbor's house, the 50-year-old suspect chased them, armed with a high-caliber handgun. He reportedly opened fire at the group, shooting two men at the home. The suspect ran back home, and by the time officers arrived, had barricaded himself in a room in the second floor. Around 4 a.m. Sunday, SWAT officers eventually moved in and discovered the suspect dead of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The women were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The two male victims were also taken in an unknown condition.
