TOKYO — A woman was found stabbed to death in her apartment in Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward, police said Tuesday. According to police, the body of the 30-year-old woman was found late Monday night after a neighbor reported hearing the sounds of a man and woman fighting at around 10:15 p.m., Sankei Shimbun reported. Police arrived at the property to find the woman, who has been named as Hitsu Tanaka, lying face down on the floor after having sustained at least 10 stab wounds to her back. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police said that two bloodstained knives were found near Tanaka’s body, as was a trail of bloody footprints leading away from the apartment block.
