The head gardener at a famous estate suffocated to death after being crushed under the rear wheel of a tractor, an inquest heard yesterday.
Alistair Hislop, 67, died from asphyxiation and blunt chest trauma following the horrific accident at Conkwell Grange, Limey Stoke, Wiltshire.
The inquest was told it appeared he was sweeping away plant debris using an old tractor when the terrible episode took place.
