A man running from the scene of his own car wreck on Friday died after he was struck by a pickup in northwest Harris County, authorities said.
Witnesses saw the 28-year-old man fleeing on foot about 2 p.m. after he was involved in a one-car crash along FM 2920 and Spring Cypress.
He ran through a grocery store parking lot then went into traffic, where he was hit by a truck towing a trailer, Harris County sheriff's deputies said.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
