SAN DIEGO — San Diego police said they have arrested a man who slashed his 8-year-old son's forearms at a cemetery after hearing voices in his head telling him to sacrifice the boy.
Officer David Stafford said 30-year-old Joseph Ramirez also cut his own arms at Mount Hope Cemetery Saturday.
U-T San Diego reports that a woman who was visiting the cemetery confronted Ramirez and begged him to let the boy go. Jaymisha Pires said Ramirez repeatedly said "We're going to Jesus" before shoving the boy aside and ran.
