Chicago police were questioning a family acquaintance hours after the death of a 2-year-old girl Saturday in Englewood on the South Side, a law enforcement source said.

She was found with bite and scratch marks as well as bruises in a bed in a home in the 5500 block of South Emerald, police said. She was pronounced dead at St. Bernard Hospital.
