A man was stabbed to death and a woman injured in what police are calling a case of domestic violence Tuesday night in southern Mecklenburg County.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they were called just before 10 p.m. to The Apartments at Blakeney, a complex just off Rea Road, to investigate a report of an assault.
There, inside an apartment on Dianthus Court, officers found a man and woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The woman was taken to Carolinas Medical Center. Police described her injuries as not life threatening.
