A major murder hunt was launched today after the body of a young woman who had had her throat slit was found in a pedestrian underpass.
The victim, believed to be aged in her early 20s, was discovered by two men walking through the subway beneath a dual carriageway at 8am.
Eye-witnesses said that her head had been severely battered from behind.
