Sakdawut Hasmiri, 30, held the 10 inch blade to the throat of his Thawee Naiyanit, while allegedly being under the influence of drugs.
The stand-off drew big crowds as police were unable to reason with Hasmiri. When he repeatedly refused police requests to release her, officers moved in and used a stun gun to electrocute and incapacitate him.
