The accident occurred near the city of Balkhash in the early hours of the morning, media reported.
Photos of the accident showed a silver minibus jack-knifed across a road running straight across the wide, open Kazakh steppe. The mini-bus had been wedged into the side of a large orange truck and its front had been destroyed.
