A man shot and wounded three women on a Tenderloin corner Wednesday, one of whom he used to date, police said.
All three were taken to a hospital with wounds they are expected to survive, authorities said.
The shooting happened just after 1 p.m. at Ellis and Leavenworth streets, outside the Doña Marta taqueria and a half-block from the Tenderloin Children's Playground. Police Lt. Joe Cordes said the shooter may have been targeting the woman he used to date.
The gunman fled and is still at large, Cordes said.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
