A man pulled out a gun inside a hotel cafe and shot another person at least eight times before turning the weapon on himself.
The assailant shot the other man at point-blank range around 12.30pm at the Hilton Garden Inn near the John F Kennedy International Airport on Thursday.
Four other men seated at the same table tried to escape the bloody scene before they were stopped for questioning by police.
