A 66-year-old Rohnert Park woman was beaten to death in her home, and her SUV is missing, police said Wednesday.

Hughes, who lived alone, apparently died of blunt force trauma, Nicks said.
She was found about 11 a.m. Tuesday after a family friend and a daughter called police and expressed concern that Hughes had not been heard from recently, Nicks said.
