Teen girl stabbed in school assault

Police are questioning a teenage boy after a girl was stabbed at a high school in Caboolture north of Brisbane this morning.

The 14-year-old girl was stabbed at St Columban's College in Duncan Street at Caboolture at about 7:30am (AEST).

She was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with non-life threatening wounds to her head, neck and back.

The school was quickly shut and students were asked to stay inside the chapel on campus or go home.

Police say the girl had been at early sports training at the school when she was stabbed near a toilet block.
