METAIRIE, La. -- A Metairie girl is battling a disease that's so rare, only one in 10 million people will be diagnosed.
It's called opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome, or OMS, and there is no cure.

"When your body comes in contact with a virus or something foreign, your immune system will eradicate it or fight it off," Stephanie Cancienne said. "With children with OMS, their immune system, for some reason, recognizes their brain as a foreign object and will start attacking the brain."
