BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Branford man was arrested for killing his pit bull/boxer mix in January after it misbehaved.
Police said the investigation began on March 11th in Madison, when a resident found a dead dog discarded in a plastic bag in the woods by a lake.
Upon investigating, police were able to determine that Alex Wullaert, 22, of 57 East Main St., Branford, was the dog's owner due to an identifiable micro-chip.
During an interview with police, Wullaert confessed that he choked the animal after it urinated on his leg and bit him. Once the dog was deceased, he then put it in a plastic bag and discarded it.
