(05-07) 23:41 PDT PLEASANTON -- A 13-year-old girl and her mother were shot to death Monday evening in their Pleasanton home, police said.
The girl, Ainsly Freeman, and her mother, Amy Freeman Burton, 37, were found inside their home at 3532 Stacey Court just south of Interstate 580 about 6 p.m., said Pleasanton police Lt. Jeff Bretzing. Burton died at the scene.
Ainsly was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where she was pronounced dead.
