Man attacking cars with spear in Los Angeles is shot, killed by police

A modern-day Don Quixote was shot and killed by Los Angeles County deputies Thursday night after allegedly attacking cars with a spear before charging at officers with a knife. The unidentified man was first reported around 8:24 p.m. running in and out of traffic while according to one driver, smashing his metal weapon on car windows. "[I thought], 'Oh my God, get me out of here.' It was a scary feeling," Priscilla Garcia told CBS LA of the moment she says the man descended upon her car. "When he did that, I looked at the cops to do something because he was not going to stop," she said. When deputies arrived they say he ignored their orders and continued his wild attack in the intersection of Shangri-La Drive and Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon County.
