HIROSHIMA —
The boyfriend of a nurse who was murdered in her dorm in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, on Dec 31, was found dead at his home at around 1 p.m. Thursday after having apparently hanged himself, police said.
Fuji TV quoted police as saying they had questioned the man, who was in his 30s, for three days from Monday to Wednesday. The man had been asked to come to the police station for further questioning Thursday, but when he didn’t show up, police officers went to his apartment and found his body.
The man’s girlfriend, Sayaka Furomitsu, 23, died of suffocation in the early hours of Dec 31. A towel had been tied tightly around her neck which also bore strangulation marks. The body was found on the first floor of the dorm by a colleague at around 6 a.m. The front door has an autolock system, police said.
Police said their investigation revealed that DNA left on the towel did not match the victim’s.
A task force was set up to see if the deceased nurse was being stalked or had any trouble with former patients or their relatives.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
