A New Mexico teen allegedly killed his close friend and ditched his body in a field where it was discovered Tuesday afternoon.
Brandon Villalobos, 15, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder as well as tampering with evidence, the sheriff’s department announced Wednesday.
"Our investigators worked all through the night," Capt. Gary Hall of the Valencia County Sheriff's Department told the Daily News.
Responding to a missing person call, deputies found 12-year-old Alex Madrid’s body in an open space off Meadow Lake Road and Manzano View Road in an unincorporated area of Los Lunas.
