Three people killed after motorcycle-riding vigilante gang fires at anti-government protesters in Venezuela

Armed vigilantes on motorcycles attacked anti-government demonstrators in Venezuela on Wednesday, by firing into crowds during the biggest protest against President Nicolas Maduro's administration since his election in April last year. Three people, including a 24-year-old student, have been killed, 23 injured and more than 25 detained by police following a day of three-way street clashes between demonstrators, pro-government vigilantes and police forces in the capital of Caracas. The motorcycle gang turned up towards the end of the protest, which had previously been made up of more than 10,000 people, and started a stampede when they began shooting into a group of around 100 demonstrators.
