3 killed in Georgia plane crash as aircraft 'tried to avoid hitting a glider'

Three people were killed Saturday when a small plane crashed at an airport in west Georgia. Two occupants of the plane died on the scene and one died later at a hospital in Columbus, LaGrange Fire Department Lt. Chris Taylor said. Authorities listed Vincent Rosetti, 60, Willy Lutz, 69, as well as Jeffrey Van Curtis, 53, as among the victims, WSBTV reported. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Kathleen Bergen said the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron aircraft crashed at LaGrange-Callaway Airport in LaGrange.
