Man who spent three days in a room with the bodies of his mother and stepfather after murdering them on the loose in SC after escaping from a mental institution

A man who allegedly killed his mother and stepfather before spending three days with the bodies has escaped from a mental institution, police confirmed today. Jason Mark Carter, 29, was charged with murdering his stepfather and mother in Seneca in March 2006. The decomposing bodies Kevin and Deborah Ann Perkins were found by police wrapped in plastic in the basement of the family's home. Man crashes truck into house, slashes 4

SAITAMA — A man crashed his truck into the front of his neighbors’ house, then slashed four occupants with a saw, in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, on Thursday morning. According to police, the truck driver, identified as Akihio Hirata, 40, set fire to his apartment and then rammed his 2-ton delivery truck into the the front of the house next door at about 6:20 a.m., TBS reported. Police said Hirata slashed four occupants of the house, including an 84-year-old man, his wife and daughter-in-law. Then he went up to the second floor, tied a rope around his neck and was trying to hang himself when another neighbor who had come to help, subdued him until police arrived. The neighbor also received cuts but police said neither he nor the occupants of the house had life-threatening injuries. Hirata has been speaking incoherently, police said, adding that the victims said they had never any trouble with him, TBS reported.
