Ottawa dad beaten to death in El Salvador

OTTAWA - An Ottawa family are desperately looking for answers after their father was brutally beaten to death in El Salvador. The body of Ricardo Hernandez, 64, was found wrapped in plastic bags and sheets on Thursday, about 100 km from his home in Quezaltepeque. He had been beaten, strangled and dumped, his family says, adding they fear their family is being targeted after Hernandez’s daughter was also shot. “We just want to find out who did this to our father,” said Carolina Hernandez, 40, who lives in Ottawa. “My dad was a really good man. We want somebody to be held accountable.” Ricardo Hernandez lived alone, but his daughter, Maria Enriques, visited him daily to prepare dinner.
